Ayansley Esteva Landín, known as “Yan Ley” was born on December 11, 1994 in Camaqüey - Cuba. His musical start began in High School where he formed his 1st musical group called “Máxima Potencia”. His music has Christian Concepts since he grew up in an Evangelical Cultural Environment and Folklore. Despite the great social problem of living in the Cuban dictatorship, Yan never gave up on his dreams and managed to stand out among the most important rappers of ¨Nuevitón¨ with HIPHOP CONCIENCIA reaching local popularity and appearing countless times on national television. Wanting to defend his Faith through his art in an environment socially censored by the political truth, despite the restrictions, in July 2019 he was selected for the 1st Urban Music Festival “Cuba United”, in which he shared the stage with great international Christian artists such as: Indiomar / Manny Montes / Dj Russo Pérez / ▪️ He was nominated for the “Alabastro” International Awards in 2020 ▫️ Popularity Award ▫️ Best Urban Artist.
In his repertoire he has self-help songs against drug addiction such as: Recaer / Justo A Tiempo and Mira Mi Corazón a song of conscience with a very deep message of hope. His life began to be in danger when several songs went viral using a music sharing app called Zapia, very popular in Cuba at that time, due to it not needing wifi to use. The track, Freestyle, happened to be an offensive song against the system: Screaming to all voices, ‘DOWN WITH THE DICTATORSHIP!!!’ in the midst of an awakening of national consciousness on July 11, 2021.
¨Pa Los Volcanes¨ became the anthem of every school and every person who did not agree with the Cuban reality. Willing to risk his life for a better future
